Description
LR-2C is a two-component liquid resin used to create rigid positive replicas from flexible impressions.
It cures to a hard, white solid that reproduces the dimensions and surface finish of the original part.
Once cured, the replica acts as a stable physical master.
It creates a positive of the original geometry, allowing measurements on optical machines, roughness testers, or contact CMMs. The material does not chemically adhere to silicone-based impression materials, ensuring clean separation during demolding.
The system is designed for high dimensional stability and minimal shrinkage. It is suitable for creating permanent archives of surface defects or internal machining marks.
The kit includes two pre-dosed components (Resin A and Hardener B) that must be mixed in a 1:1 ratio.
LR-2C resin does not stick to Plastiform products.
LR-2C is suitable for:
- Rigid replica creation: Converting flexible negative impressions into hard positive copies for contact measurement
- Dimensional archiving: Keeping a physical reference of a part state at a specific time
- Indirect inspection: Measuring internal features that are inaccessible to standard probes
Pour the mixed resin into the impression and allow it to cure. The working time is approximately 3 to 4 minutes. Demolding is possible after 30 minutes.
