Is this product compatible with all metals?
Yes. LX2 is safe on copper, brass, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, gold, silver, and their alloys. It doesn't cause galvanic corrosion or material degradation.
How long does the protective effect last?
The anti-corrosion protection lasts 6-12 months in normal indoor environments. For harsh conditions, reapply every 3 months. The protective film doesn't affect subsequent Plastiform applications.
Can LX2 be used on energized equipment?
No. Always de-energize equipment before application. LX2 is flammable and designed for maintenance on powered-down systems. Wait 5 minutes after application before re-energizing.
How does LX2 improve Plastiform impression quality?
By removing oxide layers that create microscopic gaps, LX2 ensures perfect surface contact between the Plastiform and the part, improving dimensional accuracy by up to 15 microns on oxidized surfaces.
